“Our modern lives take a huge toll on our gut — which then disrupts other systems from weight to mood to hormones. My work is to help you bring your gut and your health back into balance.”
Listen to Your Gut
Your story is important and unique. It’s also part of a pattern.
The health challenges you face grow out of an epidemic of stress, environmental toxins and inadequate nutrition that affect us all. Meanwhile, the specific ways you are affected (i.e., your symptoms) are personal to your body, history, and life experiences.
And the health of your gut is influenced by all of these factors combined.
My approach addresses your unique requirements using in-depth assessments, functional testing as needed, and targeted nutrition solutions.
Together, we solve your underlying imbalances and heal your gut, creating improvement throughout your body’s systems.

My Story
I’m a detective at heart with a passion for nutrition and feeling great. I’m driven to find answers that finally solve persistent problems, freeing myself and others to live more productive and fulfilling lives.
It all started with falling asleep in class. I loved my first nutrition course at the University of Wisconsin, so I couldn’t figure out why I could barely keep my eyes open. As I learned more about nutrition, I finally realized my diet was the culprit. The “healthy” fat-free foods (like pretzels and diet cola) I was eating during this low-fat era were totally lacking in balance and the nutrients I needed for energy. I learned how to choose the right foods to improve my mental focus and energy, and it was so effective that I just had to learn more about the benefits of nutrition.
I moved right into a Master’s in Nutrition program at the University of Minnesota to deepen my understanding. While I was there, the stress of my program plus dealing with an illness in my family triggered a gastrointestinal disorder. After consulting a gastroenterologist to rule out significant disease, I used my own nutrition knowledge to heal my digestive tract and overcome my painful symptoms. This further motivated me to help others improve their own health problems through careful investigation and evidence-based nutritional strategies.
After graduating, I went on to an intensive and rewarding position with a major supplement company, traveling as much as four months a year and training groups of up to 10,000 people. I did this for over a decade, even while pregnant and raising three young children. Although stressful, this time in my life helped me develop knowledge and strategies that I now use to help my clients, including high level expertise in safely using supplements to promote healing, and proven methods for implementing a healthy lifestyle while navigating a high-pressure career and family.
Today, my advanced training as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) allows me to take a deeper dive into the root cause of health problems with my clients. My areas of specialization include digestive disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, leaky gut, and detoxification. I also work with clients struggling with hormone imbalances, weight loss, mood imbalance, and many other conditions that have a significant link to gut imbalances.
The focus of our work together is to uncover and address the underlying causes of illness, creating a personalized path to better health.
